  1. 4 cup boiled rice
  2. 1 kg chicken cut in 12 pieces
  3. 1 tbsp salt
  4. 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  5. 1 tbsp crushed red pepper
  6. Half tsp black pepper
  7. 1 tsp all spice
  8. 2 tbsp biryani masala
  9. 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  10. 250 gm yoghurt
  11. 3 cups oil
  12. Half tsp zarda colour dissolve with water
  13. Half bunch of coriander leaves
  14. Handful mint leaves
  15. 1 cup brown onions
  16. 2 large tomatoes
  17. 4 green chillies
  18. 4 potatoes cut in 4 pieces each

Steps to make to make Jhatpat biryani

  1. In a blender add yoghurt,brown onion, green chillies, tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves and mint leaves.blend all the ingredients.keep aside.
  2. In a pan add oil, fry the potatoes. Add chicken pieces and fry well till golden in colour. Add all the seasoning and add prepared yoghurt mixture.mix well. Cook till chicken tender.
  3. Assembling: In a pan put oil from prepared chicken gravy. Then give layer of rice then chicken gravy then pour dissolve zarda colour.
  4. Then give layer of rice and drizzle zarda colour. Give dam for atleast 15 minutes.
  5. Biryani is ready to serve. Serve with raita.
